OUR STORY
We began our journey in house church in July 2013 when the Lord used a lovely unsaved man called Tony to propel us into our destiny! Tony was the 'father of the groom' at a wedding on our Farm. We got chatting to him during the evening reception and after sharing our testimony with him we told him about our intention to begin a house church. Two weeks later he called us and said ‘when are you starting the house church because I want to come!’

Wow the providence of God! Tony was our first house church convert and he was baptised in an inflatable birthing pool in one of our barns. That night Tony was healed of epilepsy as he cried out to God for his deliverance and healing. He had been taking strong medication for years and had been banned from driving due to the severity of the epilepsy. That was 11 years ago. Tony was completely healed that night and hasn't taken medication for epilepsy since.
A few weeks into our fledgling house church Tony broke down and said ‘I feel like I’ve come home’ - and after many years in ministry so did we!

What we didn't realise back then was that the Lord was taking us on a prophetic journey to trailblaze and pioneer house church here in the UK. We deeply appreciate the simplicity and beauty of house churches, because they are highly relational and the whole body ministers which makes ministry so exciting and the burden easy and light.

By God's grace we have witnessed the exciting dynamics of house church fellowship and have seen folks come to Christ and grow exponentially in their faith through on the job training.

Eleven years on, we are convinced that this is 'the day of the house church' and that there couldn't be a more strategic time to be involved in pioneering simple house church communities all across the UK!

House Churches are intentionally small, between 12-16 people and when the number exceeds this they multiply sideways, where another house church gets planted. it's a place where 'the priesthood of all believers functions, and everyone is a minister.
At house church we practice 'body life', we're a family, and everyone gets involved using their spiritual and practical gifts. We eat together, care for one another, pray together and sing psalms, hymns and spiritual songs. When we gather we always follow the 'fundamental four' found in Acts Chapter 2 v 42, which are :-
we devote ourselves to the Apostles teaching (we have an interactive bible study) not so much a sermon (but we have those sometimes!) fellowship is huge in the meetings, where folks can freely share how their week has been or we may centre fellowship around a question such as 'what has God been doing in your life this past week?'
we always break bread which is incorporated into the fellowship 'pot luck' meal (don't like the word luck but you know what we mean!) we always eat together even if it's
a hot dog, a burger or a bowl of soup!

meetings are based on 1 Corinthians 14 v 26, where everyone present participates and is free to share a word of testimony, a word of encouragement, a tongue or interpretation of tongues and actively encouraged to share their spiritual gifts - no newcomer would know who the leader is or even if there is one. Prayer and worship naturally flows, It's a very exciting format! and it's like a spiritual greenhouse for growth and maturity.
